ABATE of Minnesota Supports Governor Dayton's Decision to Proclaim May as Motorcycle Awareness Month
In his proclamation, Governor Dayton recognized the motorcycle as an increasingly popular transportation choice and urged all Minnesotans to increase their knowledge of the needs of all highway users. He also encouraged everyone to exercise added caution to make our roadways safer and more enjoyable for all.
ABATE of Minnesota will continue to:
Promote motorcycle safety training, including beginner and experienced rider courses.
Promote motorist awareness of motorcyclists through our Share the Road program.
Promote increased penalties for all motorists who drive in a negligent manner.
It is ABATE of Minnesota's desire that Governor Dayton's proclamation will serve as a foundation for increased awareness of motorcyclists by all roadway users.
